Meet Nevin Eckert

From an early age, Nevin’s affinity for nature flourished. Growing up amidst the Sequoia National Forest, his first job at age 11 was gathering green redwood tree cones for their seeds. As a teenager, he started caretaking 1500 acres of private forest, safeguarding bears from poachers and salvaging ancient tree remains left on the forest floor by logging in the late 1800s. His adventures took him across the country, planting trees and constructing hiking trails in National Parks.

In 1988, Nevin discovered his passion principles for organic farming, working on diverse farms in Northern California, Hawaii, Washington State, and New Mexico. In the early 1990s, he fearlessly championed environmental and animal rights causes, participating in frontline actions with activist groups in the western United States.

In 1994, Nevin’s life took a transformative turn when he discovered the life work of Viktor Schauberger, Austrian (1885-1958), an esteemed natural scientist known as the “Water Wizard.” Viktor’s profound insights into the intricate workings of the natural world in its primordial state and the symbiotic relationships between the earth’s biological systems and the cosmos gave Nevin’s vision clear direction in his path to helping reconnect us to and understanding the working of mother earth.
