How often do I need to replace my filters?

A common misconception is that the life-span of filter cartridges is based on usage. This is unfortunately false, the life-span of filter cartridges is by the design of the materials used to make the filter and the period of time the filter has been wet. Materials inside the filter cartridge began to degrade once they become wet.

Annual Replacements:

• DI Module
• Calcium Cartridge
• Sediment & GAC
• PreFilter
• Unidirectional GAC
• Prefilter (Bev300 units)

2 year Replacement:

• UMH Mineralizer

3 year Replacement:

• Taste & Odor – RO Membrane

 

I have a Bev300, why do you recommend I upgrade to a Aqualite/Bev500?

Bev500 has an automated flush system, so you don’t have to flush it every 10 days as recommended. The benefits of the automated flush system is there is never any blending of partially purified water contaminating your purified water. This automated flush system With the Manual one it is more random.  With the Aqualite/Bev500 there are only two filters to change every year whereas the Bev300 needs four filters changed every year. The Aqualite/Bev500 is a smaller unit and fits under most standard kitchen sinks without taking up too much room.
